Annapolis to Newport Race 2019

We were lucky enough to be on board the race committee check in boat for the biennial 475 mile race from Annapolis to Newport Race 2019 on both start days - Friday and Saturday! It was great to see all the sailboats and energetic sailors as they made their way to the start line!
Everyone had a great start. The sailors faced challenging seas and weather as they left the Chesapeake Bay area into the weekend. Some teams had to retire unfortunately but we applaud everyone for participating!
​Prospector, a Mills 68 faced tough conditions as the boat was dismasted 30 nautical miles offshore. But, thankfully the crew and boat made it back safely to Norfolk, VA.
​We were cheering for everyone especially Team Celerity and have friends on numerous boats including:  Jane Says, Berschert, Himmel, Allegiant and more!
