Ocean Yacht Documentation is an active member of the American Vessel Documentation Association (AVDA). AVDA is a member organization of U.S. Coast Guard documentation service companies across the U.S. that abide by a Code of Ethics that acts to preserve the integrity of documentation service professionals across the marine industry. We enjoyed the camaraderie of reconnecting with fellow members at the annual meeting yesterday in Baltimore, MD. We met with the Director of the U.S. Coast Guard - National Vessel Documentation Center and received updates on several topics including goals to improve processing times for the issuance of certificates of documentation, recording of preferred ships mortgages and much more. The following AVDA description is directly from the assocation website.
"AVDA was incorporated on February 10, 1995 as a California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation. The establishment of AVDA was in response to the centralization of the U.S. Coast Guard documentation offices to West Virginia and the need for formalization of the professional status of member documentation services in the United States. Members are a select group from the marine industry sponsored by an Active Member of AVDA and approved by the Board of Directors." http://www.americanvessel.com For anyone interested in U.S. Coast Guard documentation services, we hope that you will consider our documentation service company, Ocean Yacht Documentation. We viewed recent videos created by NOAA Hurricane Hunters flying through Irma and it is scary! It's hard to believe the pilots can maneuver through these powerful storms! We wish the pilots safety and thank them for their insights! Learn about NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft here. https://www.omao.noaa.gov/…/aircraf…/about/hurricane-hunters |
